Designed in close collaboration with LA-based multimedia and installation artist Johannes Girardoni, Girardoni’s portfolio website echoes his explorations between material and light, the digital and the tangible. Upon first load, visitors are shown Spectral Time, wherein the site shifts through the color spectrum over the course of 24 hours, starting and ending at red at midnight. As the visitor’s cursor approaches the circular portal at the center, selections of his work slowly depixelate from within the field of color. The portal is ever present as one navigates the site, offering a glimpse of content just beyond the next click.
